Is there such a thing as a "false positive"?
a. No
there isn't. At the end of the day the test is positive for a
specified level of the metabolite, HOWEVER some positives can be
explained by drug interaction and prescription drug being utilized
as prescribed. While the Medical Review Office can report the
test as negative the lab test itself was positive.
Can I tell you what drugs I want to tested for?
a. DOT
regulations specify exactly what drugs are allowed to be tested for
under their rules and regulations. They are Marijuana,
Amphetamines, Opiates, Cocaine & Phencyclidine. However if you
are running a Drug Free Workplace outside of the DOT regulations
then you may test for up to 12 drugs. Please remember "custom"
drug screen panels can cost more, however there are a lot of
standard panels. Please call and we can work with you on your
needs.
